        Josephine Wants to Dance

Based on the book by Jackie French and Bruce Whatley
Adapted by Eva Di Cesare, Sandra Eldridge and Tim McGarry

With a rap dancing kangaroo, showgirl lyrebirds worthy of Las Vegas, two glamorous Brolgas in white satin and a kangaroo who dances Swan Lake, this is a show with something to delight everyone.

Monkey Baa Theatre for Young People donated the dress rehearsal of Josephine Wants To dance on Friday 13th April to raise funds to support  ABF.  Created by the brilliant team behind Pete The Sheep and the Wharf Revue, Jonathan Biggins and Phillip Scott, the production was brought to the stage with bags of style and lots of laughs.  The superbly versatile cast transformed into a range of delightful characters with quick changes, dazzling costumes and superbly choreographed dance routines.  Adults and children alike were clapping along with the rap numbers and the sophisticated lyrics of  Phillip Scott's clever songs ensured that the grown ups were as entertained as the small fry.

Based on the best-selling book by Jackie French and Bruce Whatley, Josephine Wants to Dance is a story about dreams, believing in yourself … and a dancing kangaroo... and the audience on Friday 13 April loved every minute of it. The funds raised will contribute to supporting families experiencing financial stress. We can't thank this wonderful company enough for their support.
